Deserving learners received more than R30 000 in bursaries from the Progressive Principals Association (PPA)
It was with great excitement that more than 30 pupils from various Mitchell’s Plain gathered at West End Primary School where they each received a bursary in amount of R1 000. The learners, their parents and representatives from the different schools attended the function.
A number of principals gave motivational talks to empower learners to strive for success and to use the opportunities awarded to them.
The PPA requested that principals nominate a deserving learner to receive the bursary. The bursary will be paid into the school accounts. The bursaries will be administered by the school.
In addition to the bursary, each learner received a useful stationery pack that was proudly sponsored by Mr Wagied Brink.
Each high school learner received a R2000 online study voucher from EduBiz Media.
Learners were treated to a boerewors roll and a juice that was sponsored by Portland Butchery.
The PPA would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the Nashua Tygerberg team for sponsoring the bursary function.
