Community groups attend Cultural Diversity Education excursions

There was a buzz of excitement as 11 volunteers from the Walking Bus Project and 28 learners from Lentegeur boarded the bus into Cape Town to attend the Cultural Diversity Education excursion at the South African Jewish Museum. This excursion is offered as part of the SAJM’s Education Outreach Programme and the EduBiz Foundation’s community upliftment projects.

The excursions are offered free to community organisations and include fully funded transport to and from the SA Jewish Museum, sandwiches, juices, and fruit for the learners, and coffee/tea and biscuits for the adults. The programme is facilitated by trained volunteers and covers topics such as the main religions of the world; prejudice and discrimination; xenophobia; bullying; religious and cultural tolerance; building personal values and success skills.
