School administrative staff enjoyed a day of mystery, creativity and fun!

17 September 2018

Approximately sixty school secretaries and administrative staff enjoyed a fabulous day of mystery, creativity and fun.

The staff gathered at Beacon Hill High School where they were pleasantly surprised with beautiful gift bags, sponsored by Beyond the Edge Tutoring. They then boarded a luxury bus to start their mystery drive! They enjoyed a drive around our beautiful coast with stops in the V & A Waterfront and Camps Bays. They were then taken to Clay Café in Hout Bay, where they enjoyed delicious chocolate cake and coffee, and were given drawing and painting lessons. They were each given the opportunity to decorate an item. Wow, the end products looked amazing!

Thereafter they were whisked off to Mariner’s Wharf where they enjoyed delicious seafood platters. The day ended with a scenic drive around Constantia neck.

Some comments from the staff:

  • “This was a truly amazing, fabulous day! When I heard about mystery, creativity and fun… I was a bit concerned about what the day was going to be about, but I am not sorry that I attended. It was a great day! Ms Hendricks, Eisleben Primary.
  • “We feel so spoilt and appreciated – it feels great to know that our hard work does not go unnoticed. We want to thank the organisers and our principals for giving us this opportunity. I sincerely appreciate it!” Ms Smith, Spine Road High School.
  • “After so many years of working at a school, I have never been spoilt like this. It was a great, great day” Ms Freeman, Beacon Hill High School.

“I feel honoured to be able to contribute to this day”. Says Edmunt, of Beyond the Edge Tutoring. He added: “Our secretaries work very, very hard and it feels great that we can show them our appreciation by spoiling them at least one day a year”

This initiative was part of the PPA Business partnership. The PPA (Progressive Principals’ Association) would like to thank Faseegah of Nedbank, Edmunt of Beyond the Edge Tutoring and Zaida of EduBiz Media for their sponsorships and management of the event.
